Since Heron House began, over 20 years ago, we have worked on a fee basis. It seems the fairest way to charge for our professional services, while ensuring you receive great value for money.
Before we start work on your behalf, we are always happy to have an initial meeting or telephone assessment so you have a clear idea what our charges might be. In many cases our financial planning advice and services pay for themselves. You can read some of our client stories here to find out how.
Any financial planning work, not leading to the investment of a lump sum, will be charged at an hourly rate. This rate varies depending on the qualifications and experience of the adviser or team member who deals with each aspect of implementing and reviewing your financial plan.
Investment portfolio set-up charges are usually based on the value of the invested sum. This will be up to 2%, depending on the complexity of the advice and the amount invested, it can also be on a flat, fixed fee basis – within this amount, we are usually able to implement a full financial plan.
Once your wealth management and financial plans are established, our annual management fee is just 0.5% – that is half the amount that many other companies charge. This will include an annual review, financial planning updates and any future changes to the portfolio. We may agree to charge a fixed fee for certain one-off pieces of work. The cost for this will always be discussed in advance.
